A FEW QUICK THINGS
WHILE YOU’RE HERE…
Alcohol
Michigan liquor laws prohibit outside alcohol coming into our space. If your event host has opted to have alcohol at their event, all alcohol must be served by our staff. Shots and straight spirits will not be poured. Our bartenders may require ID for service, so please be sure to have your ID with you. All beverage must stay inside.
Parking
The primary parking lot for weddings and events at Record Box Loft is the city lot just behind our building. There is additional city parking available in the parking ramp at the intersection of Michigan and Carlyle (one block from our front entrance).
Smoking
We request smoking to be kept at least 25 feet from the entrances in accordance with local ordinance. Marijuana in any form is not permitted on the property.
Media
Guests acknowledge there may be professional photographers and videographers at the event and vendors may also be capturing content. Record Box Loft reserves the right to use this media for promotional purposes unless other arrangements have been made by your event host.
Communication
While communication for your event will primarily come from your host, there is the chance we may need to reach out with important updates. We will use professional discretion and would only contact you with important updates regarding your event.
FAQ
The main parking lot for Record Box Loft is the city lot behind the venue with overflow parking in the parking ramp on Michigan Street. There are handicapped spaces in both of these lots with accessible sidewalks and ramps to the venue from each. Our accessible entrance and elevator are located on the side of the building. Please look for signs, and we should also have staff outside that can help direct you to the best entrance.
Yes! Our accessible entrance is on the West side of the building which is also where the elevator to the third floor is located. At this time, the elevator does not provide access to the second floor, but all services including accessible restrooms are available on the third floor.
Guests park in the adjacent city lots for weddings and events at Record Box Loft. There is currently no issue leaving your vehicle parked in the city lot overnight, and there is no additional costs as parking is free on the weekend. That said, all parking in the city lots is subject to city policy and enforcement, so we would encourage you to pick up your car the next morning.
The primary lot used for parking at Record Box Loft has free parking after 5:00pm on weekdays (M-F) which effectively means parking is free after 2:00pm. There is no charge for parking in this lot on Saturdays or Sundays. There are signs with payment instructions if you are parking in the lot M-Fr from 8:00am – 2:00pm with a daily maximum of $8.

From Highway 94
Take exit 98B onto I-194 North (also listed as M-66 North) towards downtown Battle Creek. Turn left onto Michigan Ave East. Drive through town and take a left on Carlyle before crossing the bridge over the river. Record Box Loft will be on your left with primary parking behind the building.
Coming in from the North
Depending on where you’re coming from, navigate to M-89 which will bring you into downtown Battle Creek. Turn right on Carlyle immediately after crossing the bridge over the river. Record Box Loft will be on your left. Follow the bend in the raid to the primary parking lot behind the building.
