Ben here. Confession: I don’t remember what I did the first half of my wedding day.
I’m sure it was fine. But it obviously wasn’t great. If forced to conjure up an answer, I’d assume I hung out at the church with the guys and helped a little with the flowers.
What would I do if the 25 year old version of me was planning the-first-half-of-my-wedding-day again? I’d go out for breakfast. Boring, I know. But I love breakfast. And good coffee. I love music so there’d definitely be lots of that. I’ve never been much of a beer drinker and I don’t golf, so I wouldn’t do that. I’m pretty sure I’d find a friend with a boat, hang out on the water (with loud music of course), get ready at my friend’s house, and arrive at the wedding venue no sooner than needed so I wouldn’t have to help with the flowers.
Pro Tip: On the first half of your wedding day, you do you.
Sadly, I didn’t do me.
